Extraordinary Assembly, International Sándor Ferenczi Network

Dear Members,

We would like to let you know that the Board of Delegates and the Executive Board of the International Sándor Ferenczi Network have approved the editorial project of a new English edition of the complete works of Ferenczi, The Network Edition of the Complete Writings of Sándor Ferenczi. This project is consistent with the objectives of the International Sándor Ferenczi Network and a valuable and worthy development in the “Ferenczi renaissance.”

In order to make this ambitious, approximately 10 volume project possible, the Executive Board of the International Sándor Ferenczi Network is ready to start wide-ranging fund raising through a) soliciting donations by individuals; b) donations by institutions, c) applications for grants, to raise euro 100.000 (in the event of budget revisions, possibly euro 150,000).

The duration of the fund raising is planned to be not less than 5 years, depending on how successful we are.

The characteristics of the fund raising are:

  • Exclusivity. The funds will be utilized exclusively to finance The Network Edition of the Complete Writings of Sándor Ferenczi. In case more money than is necessary raised, the General Assembly of ISFN will determine its use.
  • Administrative Independence. A separate bank account will be used and a professional administrator of the fund raising will be appointed by the Executive Board.
  • Transparency. A yearly report of the collected funds, expenses and update of the budget will be published in the member area of the ISFN website.

The fund raising has been approved by the representatives of the member societies (Board of Delegates). Since this is a highly important and complex plan, the Executive Board invites all the members of the International Sándor Ferenczi Network (both individual members and members of the member societies), to at the Extraordinary Assembly and to express their opinion regarding this project by voting. The official language of the Assembly is English.
